It all started when…

A good family friend gave a kid a chance. In 1997 our founder, Edward Michael “Mike” Chickering, was a young man without opportunity or a plan for his future. Fred Fonda, owner of Fonda and Sons Plumbing and his friend Garrett’s father, handed Mike a shovel and told him to start digging. Mike learned everything he could about the world of plumbing from the ground up during the tract housing boom at a company that treated their employees like family. In 2002, the world lost a great man when Fred passed away unexpectedly; Fonda and Sons Plumbing closed its doors. Mike went to work for other companies where he learned other aspects of the trade. In 2005, Early Bird Plumbing opened its doors with a truck and a guy with a dream. His clean, hard work and unwavering dedication has built a solid, reputable company that continues to thrive.
